Hi i was just wondering what PSU should I get for an I5 4670k, two gtx 980's in a corsair 350D. I have a friend that he said I should get 1000w PSU but I have ask around heard from people that 750 or 850w would be fine. So my question is 750,850, or 1000w PSU are 1000w is overkill for this setup? And should i get a kit with a extra rad or should the get the parts and use hardline?

A single gtx 980 requires 30 amps, so make sure your PSU can provide that. Total wattage requirement would be at minimum 750 watt. I would choose an excellent PSU of 750 or more of gold certification that fits in your price range.
If you are planning to overclock you will probably need more watts.
1000W is a safe bet, and if you can afford 980SLi then you can definetely afford 1000W Gold quality power supply. And it will not scream as much when under stress. I had to buy a replacement power supply that is the bare minimum of what my system needs and the fan screams like a banshee when under load.

Why are you such a minimalist? Don't you know how much noise will his system make? After paying such a hefty price, he doesn't need to get stingy on the wattage.
