Hey guy, so I need a little help, I am building my first pc, I have a x99 gigabyte sli motherboard, 16 GB of ddr4 corsair ram, I have a Roswell 1000 watt power supply, a gtx 980 that I will be upgrading to prob a gtx 1080 pretty soon, and I have a i7 5930k processor. So my question is which cooling system to use for the processor?
I will not be overclocking the cpu at this point, so am I ok just using a heat sink and a fan for it? For example, would the hyper 212 evo be enough Or should I
Just go water cooled and if so will the h55 be enough or should I just go with the h100i ?
Thank you all for the help

Solution
You'll probably see pretty similar results between the Hyper 212 and the H55 so if you are going to water cool then go with the H100i. The benefit of water cooling is that you can use a larger radiator, the bigger the radiator the better the cooling performance. You will probably be fine if you aren't overclocking but if you have the money to spend on a AIO water cooler, which it sounds like you do, then go ahead and get one.

I had water and switched back to air. If your pump goes out your 100% down, if your fan goes out on a air cooler you can move a case fan their and keep going.
If your not looking to overclock or just a mild OC then a Cryorig H5 would be a good choice.
For more a Cryorig R1 very similar cooling power to a H100 with no chance of leaking or a pump going out.
