Hi guys,
so I finally got my last part to complete my water cooling loop, which was a cylinder reservoir, but I have a slight issue with it. when the water cooling loop is running the coolant in the reservoir has like a spiralling effect, as the same sort of effect when you have a sink full of water then pull the plug and it spirals.

is there any way to stop this? just because it is bugging me so much!
thanks

Which reservoir ? Most have a device inside to mitigate that effect.

The better way is to replace the stock top with a multiport top and fill tube.

On a large loop, having some air in the top of the res serves two purposes:

1. It allows any entrapped air to get out of the loop and get trapped at the res top

2. When the water heats up and expands it provides some room for that expansion to be absorbed.

You generally want to avoid that spiral thingie as it serves to drag and entrap air in the loop which

thanks for your reply! yeah it isnt completely full, but I am worried if i fill it pretty much to the top it will have so much pressure it will end up leaking?

but yeah I can't deny it is pretty awesome to have a tornado effect!
thanks for your help i'll try right now filling it up more and let you know if it works!
