Hi, I just recently bought a powerful and expensive custom pc from cyberpowerpc’s site (August 30th, 2017). I had it professionally wired and assembled by their professionals. It has worked very well for me. I have been playing games at very high frame rates (as much as 200-260fps at ultra resolutions, although my monitor reaches 200hz.)
Anyway, it’s been doing great until recently... it started to run slow. My FPS dropped to 90-100 and that’s unusual for me.
One day after restarting my pc my monitor showed up with a warning “CPU Fan Error” in red. My system is cooled by a water system from XS PC (Raystrom and X4 Photon 270 pump/reservoir).
So I entered Bios Set Up to take a look at my fans and CPU temperature. It came up with another warning advising me that the overclock setting did not work and my system is now back on default settings. My CPU was very high 90*C and my system was as low as 30*C. So I obviously turned off my pc. As I was running no other applications at the time.
As I opened up my pc I noticed my water pump was not working. The coolant was not moving when I turned on my system, not at all. I even noticed the tube running from my radiator to the CPU getting swollen near the CPU with some condensation-like bubbles. My cooling system (reservoir and tubes) was filled to the rim and does not contain any serious air pockets or bubbles that should be of concern to my knowledge.
How should I go about fixing this? It seems as though my pump is not working properly if at all. And I’m not experienced with taking a part pc’s.
I’ve looked online and read a few threads... should I switch the power in which my pump is connected to? If so, I might need assistance... I can post pictures of my pc and the set up I have. But first please take a look at my specs to see if you see any obvious issues or concerns with the build, here is a copy of my order/rig from CyberPowerPC:
