I have a Aerocool Strike-X Air case ( http://www.aerocool.us/strikex/strikex_air.html )

I'm looking to build a new system in it and thought I'd use this chance to learn and add in some water cooling for the first time.

Looking around I liked the look of the Corsair Hydro Series H110 ( http://www.corsair.com/pt-pt/hydro-series-h110-280mm-extreme-performance-liquid-cpu-cooler ), unfortunately it doesn't look like I can mount this to my case.

Are there any better options for me as a newbie at water cooling than a kit like this? Perhaps there a way to mount this outside the case maybe or buy an external bracket?

I've been building my own PC's since .... forever, but it's always been on a budget so stayed away from things like water and overclocking, time to change that :)

Thanks for any help on this.

I don't think there is anywhere in/on that case where you can properly mount a radiator. That bar with the holes above the PCIe slots is meant to be able to mount up to 280 mm rads (H110 is 280 mm), but you can only secure one side of the rad, which is just not good.

The way it's set up seems to be catered more so to custom water cooling loops than closed loops, evidenced by the circular ports in the back.

Thanks for the info, I guess I'll just need to learn how to build a Custom Loop, any advice on where I'd start?

**Edit**
had a look around, I think I can build one easily enough, seems custom loops are quite a bit more expensive than kits though, the price of personalisation.

Thanks.

Jesus H Christ!! You can mod a Rad on top of that bit where the drives go, Bloody hell man, Give that to me and see how I soar haha!
No disrespect Hog, but the wonrds 'Don't, Can't' and 'Impossible' have virtually no place in watercooling threads hehe, I know the H110's tubes are short but we can extend those or Mount the rad behind the Pcie slots with extra support, theres always options for Op to explore 😛

I'm a complete noob at modding but this has certainly peeked my interest, wife is going to kill me finding a new hobby to blow cash on haha, thanks for the input.

Todays top tip.... plenty of research on modding watercooling custom casework etc, and remember hehe you buy the tools for house projects like shelving, decking patio furniture but once youve 'invested' in them theres nowt stopping you from using them on other things.... no woman alive will bemoan you buying a dremel and accessories if you present her with a handmade gift a week or so later ;-)
We have to be resourceful as modders and that can include sourcing tools on the sly and materials from the oddest of sources, some of the best tricks have come from innocuous items
