Incident: spilled water on my desktop tower. Water went down my motherboard as I was rushing to the psu to disconnect power. Before I was able to pull the plug, I could hear beeps and sounds of USB connect and disconnect tones.

I began the fix by opening everything up and disassembling/cleaning/ reassembling. After drying off for a day under a fan. I powered back on. Everything acted like it was going to boot up for about 3-4 sec then it shut down. So, rinse and repeat (this time i even pulled the CPU and cussed at it a little.. and then apologized with a kiss). After everything was put back together I rebooted. Everything reboots great and seems stable but monitor (VGA/DVI) connection, and all USB ports. When I plug in my mouse I see my mouse LEDs come on for about half a second and then dead again. I've been cleaning and drying for about 4 hours now and still having the same problem.

Suggestions? What part do I have to kiss now?? Lol

Note: USB ports on front of tower do the same thing with mouse

why only 1 day?? usually when a spill happen we first clean with contact cleaner and with de-mineralised water then we dry it on a fan and then we put a 'desiccant' and the motherboard in a plastic bag then sealing up nice and tight...wait for atleast a week. then clean with contact cleaner and put it back together.

After breaking things down and reassembly i took out the graphics card and it booted nicely. I'm in my UEFI BIOS but not sure where to go from here. I've been trying to research my asus z97 mark 2 motherboard install process but can't seem to come across anything solid. I have Windows 10 previously installed on my hardware but in UEFI it's not even picking up my SATA connections. They all say NA but are clearly connected.
