Water damaged television. Fixable or junk?

About a week ago, after a snowstorm hit the area, water dripped from the air conditioner above my TV (32 inch, Olevia brand, 2010 model). I don't know how long it had been dripping, but the water was dripping directly into the vents on the back of the TV. When I first noticed it, I thought maybe my screensaver had kicked in because it was displaying very weird colors, then I realized what was happening. In hindsight, I suppose it was rather dumb to think my electronics would be safe under my air conditioner, but hindsight is always 20/20.

The TV still turns on and displays, but colors are very washed out among other issues. I had to turn up the brightness and contrast through the TV menu just to make the picture look just somewhat normal. The biggest problem is however that anything it displays leaves a very visible trail, like if I were to move the cursor on my TV, the cursor would leave trails (I know this is an option you can turn on in Windows, know that I have checked said option and it is OFF) and when I switch between programs they seem to fade out and fade in from each other, not simply disappear like it usually did.

Is there any chance that the TV will recover on its own (or it can be fixed) or is it just broken for good? It is far too old to spend any money on repairs and will likely just junk the thing if it is beyond help.

Solution
I would suggest letting it air dry. Put fans by the vents if possible. Give it about a week. If it still doesn't work, I doubt it will again. Sorry for your loss!
