Water in power supply, didn't turn off immediately

This morning I woke up, and tried turning my pic on, nothing happens. I check the power supply, and hearing a hissing sound like water boiling in a sauce pan. I unplug everything, but the damage seems to already be done. The inside of the power supply seems to have water damage (white spots that look like corrosion) and there is moisture in the psu itself. Is there any way to salvage this or should I just buy a replacement.

How did that moisture get in there?
If you see any corrosion the unit is gone. Additionally, if it was powered (which it was) and it did not work properly due to water, its gone x2.

Wow, water. INSIDE THE PSU? How did that happen? PSU is most likely dead.
I am wondering why was the water boiling? PSU's don't reach 100C as I know.

The hissing noise was most likely an electric current shorting out, I would assume.

buy another psu and pray the mainboard didn't died with it

water damage and salvage are two terms that don't go together, once you have water damage, the part is gone

If there was corrosion, then the water was in there for a long time, not just overnight. Are you by any chance using a watercooling solution for your CPU?
