Water in Resevoir (Small amount of movement)

Previously before I extended my loop into my reservoir (Single loop through CPU, recently upgraded to Maximus V Formula), my pump made the water in my reservoir very ecstatic/lots of movement* -can't think right now-. But currently the water in my reservoir isn't fluctuating by more then a centimeter or so. (Bouncing up and down to show water movement)


How much should the water normally be moving in the reservoir?

Typically enough to almost cap the reservoir. More coolant won't hurt the loop at all, so having some extra in it isn't going to cause any issues at all.

The lack of movement should be taken with a grain of salt, since that can also mean less turbulence in your loop (which is a good thing). As long as your pump is getting the coolant it needs and the loop is running in a full cycle, be it monsoon season or just a calm river in the reservoir, you should be fine.

I like to have the loop as full as possible, you don't see movement but you have more cooling and silence
Check your tubing for bends and monitor your temps is the best advice for now
