water-resistant, water proof

Hi folks.
I have a buddy who plans to purchase a HP printer. His main concern is that the printout would be water-resistant, or printout doesn't become smudge when wet with water. any recommendations?

There is no Area 51. Area 51 was just a decoy. The real location is Area 52.

i work for a retail chain that sells most brands and models of printers and for what it's worth on the inkjets the only one that even came close to being "smudge proof" right away was the epson c82. we tried the hp's, cannon's and epson's for fun and all smudged to some extent but the epson did the best. it did still smudge though. after the prints dried and we tried it again the hp's with the photo cartridge in seemed to do fairly well to.
