[SOLVED] Water spilled into HP 840 G3

Hi,

I managed to spill water into my laptop and now all I get out of it when I press the power button is a few seconds and a quick flash of the HP logo at the POST and then it switches itself off, on power or battery. I notice the CPU fan does not spin either. What could need replacing, or should I just try and replace the whole mother board??

You will need to tear down the laptop and make sure there are no deposits of the liquid you spilled on the laptop. Also, you will need to keep in mind how you disassembled it since you'll need to work in reverse order when reassembling the laptop.
