Water type for Reserator 1 plus

Isn't reserator plus still better than the stock coolers. Its coming for home theatre system so no need for that much cooling power
The system btw: amd643200, X800xl

I've been thinking about the possible problems of watercooling too. I just can't believe that aircoolers can get to that close watercoolers. If I use computer 4 feet away will I hear the most silent aircoolers

okay can you say what fans I choose for CPU and GPU thanks. The most silent ones :? Whaddya say using tuniq as passive and zalmanVF900 on GPU?? And some supersilent as case fan, what??

I have one of the original Reserators (not the Plus model) and it works great. Despite what others say, silent fans are not silent. They are silent only in that they aren't louder than the other fans in the case. But anything that cuts down on the # of fans in your case will reduce the volume.

The reserator isn't simply as quiet as a fan, it's totally silent. So your CPU and GPU don't have any fans at all. It's not ideal for overclocking but it sounds like you just want a really quiet system and it works great for that.

Keep in mind that you don't need as many case fans active if you aren't trying to vent the heat from the CPU/GPUs so that makes it quieter still.

One other thing to consider if you want quiet that rarely ever gets mentioned is the motherboard fan. Most motherboards have a tiny fan on them that makes a lot of racket, much more than all the other fans combined. So buy a fan-less motherboard, especially along with the Zalman and it will be nice and quiet.

AdamBomb42 is right. Definitely use distilled water. My local grocery stores sell it by the gallon. Don't drink it though!!

No - no minerals in distilled water. I bought a gallon of the stuff at the supermarket for about the same price as a regular gallon of water.

The minerals and additives in regular water can corrode the piping and internals of a water cooling system so always use distilled water.

If you can't find it at a supermarket you might try a pet store.

Most of what is being said is correct, good air cooling will provide you with 95% or better the performance of a bad water cooling system (bad as in cooling performance). In this case your priority is the sound and whether the cost of the reserator is worth it but that's a decision you need to make. If sound is your number one priority then maybe the reserator is the right choice, this will allow you to drop the rpms of the case fans as well.
