So I had a power supply inside its original box and water was spilled on it when the box was closed, and the power supply was not turned on (obviously). 3 sides of the box were completely drenched, but I can't comment if any water made its way into the power supply.

Shall I say my goodbyes to the power supply or shall I leave it to "dry" for several days?

Solution
Please specify the protection level , if the power supply is not protected with for example a foam protection or not . If the water reached the power supply metal cover ONLY you are theoretically "safe" . I recommend let if dry for 2 days or 3 and test it .

It's a cheap £15 power supply. I don't know what foam protection is, but I doubt it has it.
