watercooling the r9 290x

Alright, so i am going to get a new GPU. and im going between the r9 290 and the 290x.

Is the 290x worth the extra money? keep in mind i am not overclocking what so ever. everything is bone stock.

Also i dont care about the fan noise, because im replacing the cooler with a corsair H55 watercooler and a NZXT Kraken G10 bracket.

please help.

The r9-290x will give you better performance in games over the r9-290 so it will depend on your budget and if you want the extra performance.

Well one day later im also getting a second one for crossfire. So do you think the performance/price ratio is worth it?

thank you for this. this helped me alot, i see that theres not that big of a difference. and to me i dont think it would be worth the extra 300-400 after crossfire, because if i was to water cool this, the temps are alot lower alowing better performance. thank you.
