Watercooling UV color

Solution
Dyes:

+Gives a solid color look and can make your res UV reactive.

-It stains the loop. Its not like a permanent stain that leaches into the plastic. The dyes are not dissolved but particles so that ends up sticking to the side of tubing and blocks. Regardless, it leaves color on your tubes.

-The loop needs to be flushed multiple times to get rid of the color. Since the dye doesn't actually dissolve into the water, its hard to wash out but you might not care.

-It leaves residue. When it dries, it leaves residue for you to clean up. When I change water I usually get it on my hands and a bit on my case and stuff. I usually just leave that to dry because im using demonized water right now but there was a time I had to wipe down all my...

Tubing

+It has a nice transparent look to it and it stays UV reactive for a longer period of time

-There are no downsides to it at all. I mean you already using tubing.

Solution
Demonized water? You need a priest not a tech! Lol

Yeah tubing is a much safer option. Dyes can also cause clogging, besides color leeching, staining, etc. Ever want to change color scheme? Just change tubing, no rigorous flushing, cleaning, staining etc to deal with

Tubing is the better option for all of the reasons mentioned here.
The idea of dye is cool, but in practicable application it is simply a lot of extra work. Upkeep on a loop should be pain free process, or a least it has been for me all of these years, and I like to keep it that way. I have never opened a block out of a necessity to clean it, When I flush my loops out with Listerine, it is done to clean them, and it is a simple process to complete. I simply flush out the Listerine and refill the loop with antifreeze it makes life easy.
