Wattage for Crossfire 5870?

Hi,
I have a 650watt power supply.
I was wondering if i could crossfire 2 5870's using my powersupply.
Cpu: Fx-8320 (125watts)

It depends on what power plugs your PSU has on it. Do you know the make/model of your PSU?

Either way, 650w is cutting it close to the 600w recommended to crossfire that series.

500 Watt or greater power supply with 2x 75W 6-pin PCI Express power connector recommended (600 Watt and four 6-pin connectors for ATI CrossFireX Technology in dual mode)

^^ That is directly from newegg. =] just make sure you have those connectors and you're set.

i only have 2 PCI E connectors. Can i get 2 PCI E converters for molex pins?. My powersupply is a Thermaltake Smart 650W 80+bronze powersupply

You will need 4 molex connectors free though.

My recommendation would be to get a new PSU when your wallet can handle it, though.

yay! and also one more quick question. I have a 5870 (obviously) Serial: GV-R5870C-1GD can i crossfire with any of these?

As long as they are the same clock speeds, then you should be fine. Otherwise one will bottle-neck the other.
Even if they arent the same clocks out of the box, you can change them to be through Catalyst Control Center.

EDIT: I am actually crossfiring 2 HIS Radeon HD 6870's, one is turbo, and the other isnt, so I just overclocked the 2nd one to the stock speed of the turbo, works like a charm! =D

Be very careful buying video cards second hand, though. I am not saying you shouldn't, just be cautious. =]
