Question Wavlink Aerial HD6 AX1800 help

Wavlink HD6 AX1800 wireless AP IP addressing help needed. From a confessed newb, I am trying to use the HD6 as a wireless AP to a networked server, not the internet. How can I set a static IP, subnet mask, and gateway? I have tried unselecting the "Smart DHCP service" with no joy. I have also tried setting it up as a router but it balks at not putting DNS addresses into it. Is there a work around for the DNS?

What DNS address are you attempting to enter? (Noted "not putting" - are you trying to avoid using some DNS address? If so, why?)

Why are you attempting to "work around" some DNS? Not sure about the meaning....

When the AP balks at theDNS address issue (or whatever is being done at that time) what error message or pop-up window appears when you attempt to enter a DNS address or fail to do so? What does the message or window indicate?

Take screenshots and post the screenshots here via imgur (www.imgur.com).

What other network devices do you have: modem, router, etc.? Make, model....

Overall, I expect that you will need to use a wired connection to configure the AP as necessary for your network.
