Build Advice Way Past Due for a new PC...Build Help Needed

I've been having some pretty regular errors with Windows 10. My current build says it isn't Windows 11 compatible.
Add to that the fact that it's been 8 years on this PC makes me think it would be better to build a new PC.

PC Use:
I'm a photographer so I mainly use the PC for Photoshop & Lightroom tasks. No gaming.

Requirements:
I want 1 SSD hard drive (at least 200GB) for the OS, a separate SSD (at least 125GB) for the Photoshop/Lightroom catalogs & cache. 2 separate hard drives (at least 1TB) for photos & storage.
I've been using a i5 3.5gig processor...probably want to go with an i7 since some Photoshop/Lightroom tasks take a bit to complete.
At least 16GB ram...thinking probably 32GB
At least a Nvidia GeForce GTX 1650 since I run an extra wide monitor @ 2560x1080

No need for audio as I'm running an external USB DAC.

Thoughts on PC component suggestions?
Totally unsure on motherboard/ram/cpu options since it's been quite a while since my last build.
How beefy of a power supply will I need?

My current case has the power supply on the bottom already so I'm hoping to reuse the case.

Hoping to keep this build under $1000.

Thanks!

thats a bit over their budget.

Try this for under $1000:

Rather than small SSDs and some spinny drives, I gave you a a 1 TB SSD for boot and a 2TB for storage.

Go with the intel core i5 13500 13th gen, higher ghz and its like 100$ cheaper for 2 less cores.

What exact PSU and chassis do you have already? If the PSU is particularly old, might not be wise to re-use it, but a case is a case as long as the components fit.

What are your current parts?
I might guess that a i5 @3.5 might be a I5-4690 which has 4 threads and a passmark rating of 5573. That is when all threads are fully loaded.
The single thread rating is 2204.

I3/I5/I7/I9 no longer mean what they used to; namely how many cores and the presence of hyperthreading.
Today the designation is more of an overall capability.
For example, the current gen $127 I3-13100 is about 2x as strong with 8 threads and a rating of 15611/3767.
Next step up might be a $230 I5-13400 with 16 threads and a rating of 26026/3836.
Most any lga1700 motherboard will do.
Look for a B760 chipset and ddr5 capable. MATX size will usually be cheaper. $180 or so.
Photoshop can use lots of ram. I might suggest a kit of the new 24gb sticks for a total of 48gb:

SSD devices are now much cheaper. A 1tb m.2 pcie intel 670P or samsung 980 will cost $40 to $70 or so,
No need to fool with two drives. Space management is easier with one C drive.
Hard drives are good for bulk sequential storage; you probably have that covered.

If your app can use the CUDA cores of a graphics card for processing, GTX1650 will do.

What is the make/model of your current psu?
It might serve. The psu wattage you need for a system is mainly determined by the graphics card.
Here is a handy chart:
It shows 380W for a GTX1650.
Of more importance than wattage is the quality of the psu.
DO NOT buy a cheap psu.
Look for at least a 5 year warranty, 7 years or more is better.
It usually costs little more for a higher wattage unit.
Look at the pricing for a seasonic focus gm-550:
650w is only $10 or so more.
A psu will only use the power demanded of it, regardless of the max capability.

What is the make/model of your case?
Do you like it?
If so, you can very likely keep it.

Currently, I'm running a Nvidia GeForce GTX 1650 for my ultra-wide monitor.
The suggested video cards vary quite a bit in price....help with sorting/ranking them?

Oh, and I'd like recommendations for a black small HTPC case since I'll take my current p/s, mb, ram & cpu and reformat my hard drive and build out a HTPC for media storage...

What form factor is your existing mobo (ATX, mATX, mITX)
What form factor is your existing PSU (ATX, SFX, SFX-L)
How many storage drive mounts do you need in the case? Just the one 3.5" drive?

Any dimensional limits in the space you plan putting the HTPC case?
