Way to recover files after resting windows 8

So I had to rest my laptop, while I did this I forgot to backup Two files that I really needed.

please is there anyway I can get to them.

So you reinstalled the OS (or some other definition of 'rest') and you want to retrieve two files from what was there before?

Doubtful. Is there a 'windows.old' folder? If so, that is most of your previous install. They may be in there.
If not....you are almost certainly out of luck.
