Way to verify if psu is still solid?

So I am putting together a new build finally after about eight years. I know...

I am hoping to use my case and psu and current storage as secondary storage and my gpu's until I see what happens with the 1080ti and 1080 prices.

Is there a way for me to verify my psu is still functioning fine? It's a 1000w model from zalman. I don't think there are problems with it at all, but is there a way to kind of make sure before I rip the whole build down and install the new parts?

You can buy a simple power supply tester that verifies the power supply is OK.

That's cool. Maybe I'll look for that with my last order of water cooling supplies. Are there software stress tests or anything to check???
