My road is a culdesac that is shaped like a J. Now my problem is that my internet company will not come down our road. They will however go down the road that leads to my road. The way my road is shaped makes my backyard touch the serviced road. Is there anything I can do to bring that service through my yard into my house?

Solution
Make a little sketch of the roads, your yard - discuss this eyeball to eyeball with the ISP at their office. Tell them to pull the utilities through your backyard. This should be perfectly OK.

The reason why the ISP initially declined is because someone sitting in an office is looking at "Mailbox addresses" and "Street Addresses" to determine whether service can be provided. As soon as you enlighten them about how to go about dealing with this issue, the problem will be solved. A little diplomacy will help.
