OK, im living downstairs in a 3 story house. I'm not sure where the router is located but the wifi seems to be half slow everywhere. I tested it and it has about 10-15 down and 10 up on my pc with a wireless adapter. Compared to my old wifi this is decent but I still lag. Even in Minecraft lol. I have good ping and then it jumps to 300ms and then back to 60ms. This happens every 10 seconds. So yeah what can I do to speed up my wifi, boost signal or even make my computer a priority on it.

Solution
It depends how much bandwidth you get from your ISP and if you think it is being overloaded or if it is just poor signal strength.

Wifi antenna are primarily designed to run horizontal so they don't work as well going though floor/ceiling. Also floors and ceiling are very dense and block a lot of wifi signal.

You might try a repeater but to work it must be place in a area that get good signal and can still transmit a good signal to the end device. This may not be possible when the optimum place would be inside the ceiling.

You might consider powerline networks. They use the electrical wires in your house as a ethernet cable. Get the newer av2 based technology. They work in most houses but you should not expect the magic...

They work in most houses but you should not expect the magic number they have. You might get 150mbps but again that depends on how fast your internet is to begin with.
