WD 1tb Black vs 1tb Blue!!

I'm going to get a new hdd soon and i was going to get the wd black 2tb until i heard that the 1tb blue is faster then the 1tb black. Should I get one of those instead because i wouldn't mind saving some money!! I'd probably get two of them btw.

Edit: I will be using them for storing steam games.
 
Hard drive performance with 7200 rpm are generally comparable.
Usually, a 2tb drive may have faster data transfer rates because of denser platters, and more data that can be transferred for each platter revolution.

For data storage, performance is really not an issue. Buy the one which is cheapest per gb.
You might even consider the WD green. It is cheaper, and the 5400 rpm speed is not a real deterrent for storage.

For performance, you want a SSD, particularly for the "C" drive.
