Hi All,
I have a WD 1 TB sata hard disk which is not working. To give a brief history of how the drive got to this point.
I initially got a warning from IRST that my hard disk was having issues, please see image below.

Then i started having issues on my laptop. My laptop was not able to boot properly. After some troubleshooting I came to the conclusion that the laptop was not booting (stuck at acer logo) because of the faulty hard drive. When I removed the faulty drive, the laptop was booting fine and when I reconnect the drive - my laptop was unable to boot properly.
When I was still able to read my drive, I used crystaldisk to check its status (see image below), it seems the drive is having some internal bad sectors.

Because, i need to keep using my laptop. I decided to totally remove the drive. I decided to buy and try my luck using a "sata to usb cable" but to no avail. When i plug the drive to a usb port, I'm able to detect the drive as drive E: but unable to access it. In disk management, the drive is not being detected. While in Device Manager, the drive is being detected (ASMT 2115 disk device). See images below.

I'd like to ask for anyone's assistance on how can I possibly detect the disk properly and access it so I can recover the data. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Mac
