[SOLVED] WD 2TB External Drive not Appearing Suddenly

I pretty much have this drive plugged in 24/7 and took it out for a day and went to plug it back in and it just doesnt want to appear. I have tried all of the USB 3.0/3.1 ports on my case and mother board (about 6 in total), but when i plug it into my cases single USB 2.0 port it works right away.

USB 3.0 and 2.0 use different signal wires. Perhaps the solder joints at the USB connector are cracked.

I have most of my games loaded onto that hdd, I've never used it on a 2.0 port, do you think I would be able to use 2.0 for a while until I can back it up and get a new one, I don't mind losing what is on there, but it would be a pain to redownload everything. I think it still has a couple months of warranty

Sure, you can backup your data via USB 2.0, but the speed will be about 20 - 30 MB/sec.
