Question WD 2tb hard drive does not show on any PC or Laptop

So my WD 2tb hard drive does not show on the my computer screen where it shows the connected devices to PC and i have tried to format it via the command prompt and also via the computer management program but it does not want to format and says bad sectors.Has anyone come across this and what possible fixes helped if any.thank you

If it won't format and cites bad sectors the drive needs replacing as it's no longer usable.

Thanks Phillip so in short i just need to get a new hard drive and throw away this one

Sometimes the controller board on it is worth money on ebay.
The magnets inside work great for holding things on the fridge and can sell well if you get a bunch of them.
The actual housing is aluminium and the cover is stainless steel, in case you know someone who does scrap metal.
