WD 4tb compatibility with Ps4

Is there a way to make my Western Digital 4tb harddrive work for my ps4?

Well I'm pretty sure that the 4TB hard drive that you have in mind will be a 3.5 Inch drive which makes things a little bit more complicated. The PS4 has a built in slot to insert any 2.5 Inch hard but 2.5 Inch hard drives are more expensive and don't have as high of available capacities. A 3.5 Inch hard drive will not fit in the slot that the PS4 has available. Earlier this year Nyko announced that they are making an adapter for the PS4 that allows the usage of 3.5 Inch hard drives but that will make the console more bulky and the adapter is rumored to cost about $35-40 on top of the cost of the hard drive itself.

Trolling_Cyborg is right. You'd need a 2.5" HDD in order to be able to use a 4 TB HDD inside a PS4!
Your only option to use that 4 TB WD drive would be to get a 3.5" external enclosure + AC adapter to use the drive as an external storage for your PS4.
However, if you insist on using and replacing your internal PS 4 hard drive, I'd suggest to take a look at the 2.5" versions of the WD Blue and WD Black. The capacity is nowhere near the 4 TB, but my guess is reliability and performance are much more important to you inside the PS 4.
