WD Black 6TB underperforming

Hello, I just finished fully installing my 3rd HDD and 5th drive (I have 2 SSDs) and while testing it's speed with Samsung Magician and userbenchmark, I find it to be underperforming, it's values are actually almost lower than the ones of the WD Black 3TB with only around 160/180 seq read/write speeds.

Now I've heard this HDD should be going up to 230 MB/s and since there are 0 threads about underperforming (on google) I wanted to see if anyone has had the same issue.

I made a single partition on the drive, so I converted the disk to GPT.
The cable used to connect to my motherboard is SATA 6Gb like the rest of my cables.

You can see in the benchmark screenshot, that at beginning speed is ~ 233MB/s, then gradually slows to 200MB/s at 1/3 and then slowly deteriorates to 100MB/s at the end. That's how mechanical drives operate.

If you benchmark performance of partition made in first 1/3 of the drive, speeds would be 233 - 200 MB/s.
Everything is good there. You're worrying about nonexistent issue.
This might seem too obvious to mention but are you sure that the SATA port you are connecting the new drive to is up to the task? Not every port is created equal and I certainly have computers that have fast and slow ports on the same MB right next to each other and the difference might not be readily apparent. Try swapping ports between what you consider a 'normal' drive and the 'underperforming' one and see what happens. It shouldn't cost you more than a few minutes of your time.

I should try, it was an older cable. Tho as I said, when it's MBR it's a bit faster. So does that factor in or not? My 3TB hard drive had 180 (faster than this one) when I bought it, which is the normal speed and it's also GPT.

When I got my first WD black the speeds on the app that came with my SSD showed 180 MBps which was the advertised speed, so I was happy. Now it shows 150-190 on read so I thought something is wrong.

I do hope everything is fine.
