So I have a samsung 850 evo 250 ssd in my desktop build, and a WD1tb 7200rpm blue in my system. With an ssd, would it be more wise to have a better hdd also (the black WD hdd was something I heard to be a lot better than the blue one).

Also, how do I get certain files like photos or software to go to my hdd? I don't want everything to go on my ssd.

Thanks again!

Hi there,

As you already have your OS installed on your SSD, there shouldn't be noticeable performance difference between WD Black and WD Blue when used as secondary storage drives.
Of course, WD Black is the better one, as it considered to be more reliable and has a dual core processor(better for multitasking). Though, as you already have WD Blue, it is just up to you to decide whether you want to buy another drive.

Regarding the files and programs, I would say that you can just copy/paste the files on your HDD. Regarding the programs, you can just uninstall them and reinstall them again on the HDD. During the installation process, every program will ask you where do you want to install it(and you just pick your HDD instead of the...
