I would like to know which one is better as secondary drive. if WD black or WD enterprise for storage and games.

Or should i go for hybrids.

thank you

Here you go. These are both 7200 RPM SATA 6GBs and will work great. You will not get an performance increase using a black drive, it just sounds cooler when you tell people you have a black drive. Both of these are right at $80 and the black drive is $120.

I have 2 of the same seagate drives and I built a HTPC with the same 2TB toshiba drive in it for a friend and they are all still going strong years later.
Why would you go for an enterprise drive? Those are designed for use in data centers, where they have to deal with vibration from hundreds of other drives and operate 24/7. Completely unnecessary for a consumer machine.

The Black is the better option of those two. I'd also consider the WD Blues though, since this is only a secondary drive and the Blues are significantly cheaper.

Well, i read some forums and some people mentioned that between these two are good. I wanted to go for blue but i did not find with 2 tb.

I read online that blacks are very noisy is this true?

if you would go for blue, black and hybrid which would you choose for secondary for storage and gaming?

They are indeed good. But way more than you'd need for a secondary drive :)

Blacks can be a little bit noisy. Essentially, they slow down less so that they can perform faster, but this means they can produce more noise. It's not a lot of noise, though. In most cases, the fans will drown out the noise of the HDD's, unless something is wrong with the mounting.

I would personally get blues for secondary storage, maybe blacks if I felt I had money to spare. Hybrid drives would only be useful if you can only put one drive on the system, but you already have an SSD, which accomplishes the same purpose. Just make sure the OS is in the SSD, and install your most used programs and games to the SSD.

A ok, very informative, ty.

if i choose a hybrid would it give me better performance than black when game loading adn transfering data between drives and external or not much difference?

Not usually, no. Hybrid drives basically have a small SSD integrated to cache regularly used data, like OS files and other things the system uses regularly. They provide a small boost and are useful in laptops that only have one HDD slot, but they're not very cost-effective at all when you can just have a separate, faster SSD instead.
