WD BLACK SERIES VS Seagate Barracuda

Hello everyone. I am seeing a pretty large price gap between the two. They seem to have the same specs. Could someone tell me if it is just paying for the brand, or if there is really a reason to pay more for the WD? I asked this in 2 sub forums as I was not sure what the right one was, sorry.

I have a Western Digital Black 1tb and I like it. It is a little bit on the noisy side.

My freind has the Seagate Barracuda 1tb and he hasn't had any issues. He likes it.

I would still go with the WD black though.

I believe the WD black series have 5 year warranty, and the Seagate Barracuda series have around 3 year warranty.

Used both makes of drives and found the WD to be more reliable.
