They are both similar in most aspects being Tier 1 drives. Only difference being, the Kingston uses 176 layers of Micron NAND and has a slightly higher write speed of 7k mbps while the WD has 112 layers of SanDisk NAND with 5.3k mbps write speed. Theoretically the Kingston drive might look a bit better but in day to day operations you won't find much difference. Also, Kingston uses the more popular Phison E controller while WD uses a proprietary one.
