Hello, I made a post here the other day, but figured I wasn't specific enough and I do not know if it will be seen by anymore people.

I currently record to a 500gb secondary Toshiba HDD that I got with my CyberpowerPC.
The drive has been good up until you try 1080p @60fps, it struggles reaching this and causes of course, partially lagged playback/ low frame rate.

I had my eye on 2 of these - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822236339&cm_re=wd_blue_1tb-_-22-236-339-_-Product

I am fine with the $100 for the drives, but
Will these drives deliver the write speeds capable of 1080p 60fps?
and Will they last me a bit of time of writing and reading in Raid-0 or will they die out after a month?

Also I would like to try and avoid an SSD. I need a good amount of space, and I am not planning on blowing big $ for a high capacity SSD

Thanks for the response, 1080p I didn't think was SSD required either, My second drive can do 1080@30fps but falls short of 60

However would just a normal HDD like a WD black, like your recommending be able to withstand 1080p @60fps?

A WD Black 1tb is close only like $20 something more than a WD blue so its not that big of a deal. But will it work?
