Hello there,
I decided to change the M.2 SSD, so the resource was 14%.
The laptop (ASUS UM431DA) has SK Hynix (HFM256GDJTNG-8310A) installed, 256Gb.
I purchased a WD Blue SN570 (WDS500G3B0C), 500Gb.
Replaced.
Now the computer won't boot, and you can't even enter the BIOS using F2.
When you press Tab, you can see that after the BIOS logo it stops.
I pull out the WD drive, put the old one SK Hynix in, and everything is fine.
I pull out the disk completely, I also can enter the BIOS without any problems.
What's wrong? Is the disk not working? Incompatibility?
Please help me!

do you know if the m.2 support nvme or just sata type ?
can't find the spec on UM431DA. UM431 do support nvme
As per ASUS website this notebook is sale with 3 types of storages:
  • 512GB M.2 NVMe™ PCIe® 3.0 SSD
  • 256GB M.2 NVMe™ PCIe® 3.0 SSD
  • 1TB M.2 NVMe™ PCIe® 3.0 Performance SSD
https://www.asus.com/laptops/for-home/zenbook/zenbook-14-um431/techspec/
so, it should to support NVMe.

And on installed SSD there is NVMe mentioned (SK Hynix 256Gb BC501 NVMe HFM256GDJTNG-8310A).
From AIDA64 it has NVMe v1.2.0.

Might be time to test this new ssd on a different pc just to see if it's busted.
