WD Caviar Green 1TB only can format to 33Mb

Hello!

I have a problem with a HDD WD10EAVS (Western Digital Caviar Green 1TB). From one day to another, the windows don´t recognize it, it demands format to recognize it. But windows only let me format it to 33Mb... Is there some kind of program (better if it is free) to try recuperate the full capacity?

Go here and get Data Lifeguard Diagnostic for Windows and make sure the HDD is working properly:

You may want to run the Advanced Format utility if the HDD checks out OK:

Hello! Sorry about the delay... I was really busy.

I have tried all the programs from WD, and no one have worked for this issue.
Data Lifeguard Diagnostic says all is correct with the HDD. (...)
Advanced Format utility is not available for this HDD.

I tried too HDD Capacity Restore Tool, and don´t recognizes any of my HDD (maybe don´t work for Win7 x64). Another day I will try it on a friend PC with WinXP.

Hello!

Finally, I have the HDD working OK.

The program "HDD Capacity Restore Tool" it seems that only work for Windows XP x32. I installed the program and it recognizes the full capacity of the HDD, click on restore button and... magic! 1TB!
