Question WD Easystore Hard Drive Enclosure with Hitachi HDD

So I was wondering if I was to purchase a Western Digital WD Easystore External Hard Drive Case Enclosure 3.5" without an installed HDD (these can be picked up cheaply on eBay or similar) and installed one of the spare Hitachi 3TB 3.5" Enterprise HDD whether I would be able to use it to install and run windows off of for a Mac. I know your able to run Windows off of external drive on Mac, but wanted to make sure these WD drives didn't have any special restricting software or whatever. Thanks in advance.

Why buy an enclosure which originally shipped with a drive inside it?
Buy an HDD enclosure which ships empty from third-party manufacturer's --- loads of them online and cheap.

I live in NZ and it's way cheaper to pick up one of these instead of buying a third party enclosure. Its about 13 GBP, compared with 26 GBP.

It should since Hitachi is owned by WD. Now powering up a 7200rpm drive is another matter. I hope the Easystore comes with an external power supply.
