I am planning to buy a new Storage. I saw a 1tb WD Enterprise for 47usd, is it good for storage/gaming? or should I go with a WD blue with the same price range and capacity. Please help me decide. Thank you!

The enterprise drive is built for more reliability. IIRC it has 2 spindles as opposed to the 1 of the consumer lines. This means that the platter is more stable and so wears slower, decreasing the odds of failure. I'm surprised that it would be near the same price as the Blue line...is it on sale or a refurbished drive?

There should be no difference in performance that I'm aware of, when comparing drives of the same speeds. (i.e. 7200rpm to 7200rpm.)

It is directly from an online seller not a store maybe that's the reason why. It is brand new. I saw the date of the enterprise is 2009. Is it still good? it's brand new though. Btw thank you for your response.

I'd be cautious of it. Not being from a retailer, there is no telling if you are getting the genuine item. Is it still sealed in the original packaging?
