WD EX HD Problem

I have WD external HD, but to my surprise this evening I could not open it, it only display this message "The file or directory is corrupted and unreadable" please your assistance is highly welcome. Thanks Abdul Hamid

Hard drive has probably crashed...run a hard drive test....then recovery software if needed...

Yeah, you can download some diagnostic utilities from WD's website to test it too.

The best bet on those external drives is to build your own and get a quality hard drive and enclosure
