Just installed a second WD 4tb black hard drive in my EX2 and during the migration, they got pretty got hot, around 58C. Had to turn the AC up and put some ice under it.

Now its back again, sitting AT IDLE, at 58C. Fan is running full blast and there are no operations being done on the box.
I'm baffled.
Its strange the NAS hasnt trigged any alarms or logs regarding temperature.

System Disks

Drive1
4 TB
59 °C
Good
S.M.A.R.T. Data
Drive2
4 TB
58 °C
Good
S.M.A.R.T. Data

This looks horrible to me, for the drives being at idle....
Has the NAS just gone crazy?

System Test

System Clock
Drive1
Drive2
Memory
System Temperature
Fan

Looks like I'll need to take the system out of its case and rig up some better cooling. Maybe a heat sink with large fin? Water cooling maybe a bit much?
