Solution
Hi there rahulss,

That is really unpleasant. 🙁

Is the drive recognized by Disk Management and how?
In case it is, you can try using some software tools: https://www.lifewire.com/free-data-recovery-software-tools-2622893

If the drive is not recognized by Disk Management, unfortunately, you will need to look for some professional help in order to retrieve the data. You can check WD's Data Recovery Partners out: http://products.wdc.com/support/kb.ashx?id=kBV1HL

It will not hurt to try something simple as just attaching the drive with a different USB cable to another computer.

Cheers,

rahulss, did you try TestDisk? (http://howtorecover.me/cgsecurity-testdisk-partition-recovery-windows-app-review). it can help you to recover the whole disk partition.
