Personally I would want a SSD for gaming but HDDs do hold more space for the dollar. So what is more important. Faster load times/better frame rates (games like doom 2016 have better frame rates on SSDs due to heavy IO use) or holding more games? If the first you want a SSD if the second go with the largest HDD you can afford.

Well my plan was going to be like this:
Current Demanding Games on my Samsung EVO 256gb SSD for load times. Open World MMORPG.

Steam Library Games on Western Digital Gold 1Tb/2Tb 7200rpm 128mb cache Since it's faster then the WD Black 2TB 2003FZEX which cost $180.
$159 after using my eBay 20% off discount code.

So what do you think about my idea?

And yes the WD Gold 2Tb is way better than the WD Black 2TB 2003FZEX.
Because well better specs and 5 years warranty.

It's solid thinking. Let me put it this way. In my rig I run a 512GB Samsung 960 EVO for my OS and most demanding games/software. Then I run one Samsung 840 1TB and one 850 1TB for my less demanding but SSD worthy games/software. Then I run a 4 TB Seagate SSHD for my low end games and software followed by a drive pool of 3x8TB Seagate Ironwolf HDDs for data drives (ie videos, music, documents, pics etc for which I have a ton of).

To be honest internet in Australia is very slow no nbn fiber yet.
I rather have games already installed and are up to date so i dont have to keep constantly uninstall them and redownload them again such I pain in the ass a 50gb size game takes me 3 whole days to complete at 1mbps which fluctuate down.
Not including overnight download.

Btw a 1TB SSD Crucial or Samsung cost a whooping $450 in Australia I can't afford that that's like a price of a intel i7 7700K $470 lol.

If you had to choose which one would you pick out of the two:

Western Digital Gold 2Tb 7200rpm 128mb cache.

Western Digital Black 2tb 7200rpm 2003FZEX 64mb cache.

For Gaming on STEAM ofc.
