are they any good?

i was thinking about pulling the trigger on a 2TB green sata III they have on sale on newegg for backups, mainly for media storage backups and system image, and its a pretty decent price given the current state of HDD pricing.

i know HDD's are often just luck of the draw, but does anyone have any that they have had for an extended period of time to attest for reliability?

weedn,

I have a 2TB WD drive for the past ~1.5 years. While not a SATA III, no complaints in terms of performance, but watch out for their backup software (WD SmartWare) if you use it in XP. Total CPU hog.
