WD green noise ok

So i bought core i5 4440 r9 270x 8gb kingston hyperx blue corsair vs 550 and h81 mother board but my wd hdd green is making some low grinding kind of noise when its accessed i have checked my hdd health using 3-4 programs they show its completely fine tell me its ok or not its bugging me a lot

Actually i was worried si i got a new one for the sake of goodness and that one has same noise so i think its a wd problem right ??

Its not that its a WD problem, its the fact that its not even a problem! When busy, the drive will grind like a coffee mill, just deal with it! 😀

Hi there Aditcgeek,

Due to its power efficient characteristics, WD Green should be a really quiet HDD. Does it make more noise than your previous one?
You can test it with WD's DLG tool. If it passes the tests, then the drive should be fine and reliable.
Also, you can make sure that the HDD is tightly fastened. Sometimes, the vibrating sound could be amplified by the case if the HDD is loose.

The noise is on same level just a little bit more noisy i think so coz its new ( when previous one was new it was that noise too ) i have check it with crystal disk info and dlg tool too its showing pass as smart status and on quick test it shows good

After it passed several tests of different testing tools, I think that you shouldn't be worried about the data that is stored on it.
