Hi i have wd green ssd
120g2g0a and i have dashboard v 1.4.4.5 .so first question: this ssd support trim? Second : in to dashboard I see the trim option and click on it and said trim progress at the same time i open windows default defragment tool and i see also windows defragment is working with dashboard and defrag my drive . So that’s is ok? And after trim i go to dashboard smart detail and and see my total gigabyte written . Before trim was 810gig and after trim 815 . So am completely confused . Help.

If we are to assume your desire to do this trim or defrag manually is an effort to maintain or potentially increase performance of this SSD, please explain the CrystalDiskMark results in the pic contained in the Spoiler.

5x Samsung SATA III drives, in my current system.
2x 840 EVO, 1x 850 EVO, 2x 860 EVO.
The date associated was when they were installed in this system. And running basically 24/7.
None of these drives has ever had "defrag" or TRIM run manually. Never, not once.
I've just let the OS and the drive firmware do whatever it needed to.

Am sorry: what should i do ? My ssd not Evo samsung unfortunately; My drive is western damn digital with green hair😠

well u should leave it the way it is
windows will trim it eventualy
if you have ACS2 it will do it when your drive is idle, if you have ACS3 or better, it will queue it up with your workload
u can check your ACS version with any disk info tools
https://osdn.net/frs/redir.php?m=cznic&f=crystaldiskinfo/71449/CrystalDiskInfo8_2_4.exe

tbh you shouldnt really care about trim, unless u have performance issues with you drive, if there are no performance issue, than it works

Tnx. So, big question: why windows dont detect my drive as ssd ?

Windows 7 and up detect an SSD only by it's performance when it runs it's system assessment. I assume you cloned from an HDD or you have the old WD Green SSD which is pretty slow to begin with compared to current offerings.
It would have eventually detected and changed the behavior; unless you've made some changes. :)

it could be bcause of his nforce sata controller...hard to say
if he manages to see which ACS version hes running now, then it could hint us if its hardware relate or software related
trim is supported from ACS2 (ata command set) and it works in ide too
I want upload pics . But I don't want create account in imgur ; help me pls

Those 'cheap sites' simply give you a step by step how to of verifying that TRIM is enabled, and if not, how to turn it on.
Do that.
yeh good for u😊 . and i try that damn cmd command and says TRIM in your pc in enabled . but , you see my pics ? that defrag , that before and after , and wd app?

ARE YOU HAPPY NOW?
any way am not happy . i have nasty issues with my ssd ,damn controller ,and stupid
win 10 but You guys dont help me.
now i have another question : with a green ssd and sata 2 port , windows 10 boot
How long does it take:?
so every time i click the power take 30 ,35 second until windows start.
so why am buy a ssd ? before ssd my windows was in to a HDD and boot time was 35
second . so whats different ? i thought my boot time should be maximum at 15 second
and am still for the ANSWERS😶

that hdd vs ssd in windows defrag...well windows does test your drive speed
u can manualy rerun that test
run "winsat diskformal" from cmd.exe started as admin
make sure that u have nothing running in background while runnning it (antivirus, downloading porn, whatever)
