WD Hard Disk making loud noise when cutting the power off

Hello

i have got a new WD 2TB Black Hard drive recently.

the disk is working find , i don't have any problem with it , but the thing that worry's me that when i shut down my PC , after the Motherboard cut the power off , the Hard Disk is making a noise which looks like a car motor was running fast and it's slowing down , then like something breaks the disk spinning and it stops.

the noise is not very loud , but i can hear it every time i shut down my PC of cut the power off.

i don't know if that is normal for my new hard disk , because i also have an old WD 1 TB Green disk , but it doesn't make this noise when it's turning off.

When the PC shuts down, the drives will still be spinning unless the drive itself keeps some sort of stored charge for slowing/stopping the spinning platters. (which is probably what you are hearing; if it is working, I'd not worry about it, some drives make more noise than others)
