I've been using my WD Blue hard drive for nearly 2 years. These days, I can hear a light rattle noise. However, I checked the SMART & other tests. Everything says Fine. Plus, my hard drive has been rated for a start/stop cycle of 600k and right now it just passed 12k. But, I'm able to hear some rattle noise these days. Whats the reason?

Hard drives make noise. Some more than others.
A drive making new noises is rarely a good thing.

Always have a good backup, just in case. Noises or no noises.

Put your finger on the hdd see if the noise stops.
