I am looking to buy a hard drive for my computer and I want a Western Digital. I keep seeing Blue, Caviar Blue, Black, Mainstream and don't know what any of those mean. I just want to know a least of their lines from best to worse.

There is no actual proof that any of them are "better" than any of the others. Some are meant for network attached storage. Some are for servers. Others are low power models that have long seek times but use much less power, useful if you have a data center with 2000 of them running, not much good for a home PC.

You likely want to stick with blue or black versions. I have personally seen fewer failures on the black versions, but technically there is no evidence to support this so I may have just had bad luck with the two blue versions that failed prematurely on client builds. Either should probably be fine for you.
