I'll gladly pay $10 more for an all metal case.

I'd hope. ...but since its not mentioned I doubt it. The 7200RPM would likely be a selling point they'd want to shout to the hills.

WOW!

+1 for ojas

109.99 for an external 2.5" 500GB USB3.0 drive, what were they smoking?

Lets not forget that the USB3.0 cable is WD's proprietory cable, lose that and be prepared to pay.

WD's website makes no mention as to the type of drive used in this model nor drive speed but its a good bet that its a Blue series at 5400.

I purchased a WD 2.5" 500GB Blue Drive and a Vantec USB2.0 enclosure (metal) both for under $60 taxes in.

Don't get me wrong, I love WD and will continue to purchase WD products, however at this price point, cheaper alternatives can be had i.e. build your own!

Hope this helps.

What are the specs of the actual hard drive?? Knowing at least RPM, Buffer size, interface (custom or SATA?) and access times would be the minimum from a tech site.
