WD My Passport 2.0TB HDD auto disconnecting after 10 minutes or so?

I Have several WD My Passport 2.0Tb HDD's which work fine on my old XP laptop. I now have a new Dell E6540 Laptop. My HDD auto disconnects (can not see drive although it is physically connected) after about 10 minutes of use with the new laptop. How can I stop this auto disconnect? After the HDD is auto disconnected the power light is still on on the HDD so I am guessing power is not the issue.

Most probably, this is issue with drive or with cable, not with laptop software. But check power managment options in BIOS too.
