Sorry you are facing some issues with your WD My Passport. 🙁
It is possible that these beeps are related to some kind of a power related problem. This is why, you can try connecting the drive with another USB cable(Y type of one preferably) to a different USB port. You can attach the drive to another system as well.
Is the drive recognized by Disk Management?
If yes, you can try testing it with WD's Data Lifeguard Diagnostic tool: http://products.wdc.com/support/kb.ashx?id=fHYE8l
If not(even after trying the cable/port/system stuff), and the drive is still under warranty, then I guess it may be a good idea to contact WD's Support and eventually RMA the drive: http://products.wdc.com/support/kb.ashx?id=w2z75H
